flights to quito from london

Here I am, back again, after almost two years I must say that I'm really delighted to be doing this blog once more.
I realized that sharing all the art and craft trivia here has helped me up my own creative processes several notches. My usually active radar goes into hyperdrive looking for interesting bits and pieces, and I tend to look at even the most mundane to find sparks of creativity.
To many, many more fun hours of sharing :)

So I havenapos;t posted for a couple days. Anyways, Sunday night Katherine came over. Thank fucking god Put my spirits up a little bit higher. It was a gong show popcorn, candies everywhere. The failure with the zipper on my chair and the straws in the kitchen. Weapos;re one of a kind. I love hanging out with her, I know I can tell her basically anything and know itapos;s safe. Monday morning she went home, then Monday night my family came over for Thanksgiving. It was great, I love being with family and being surrounded with people that care about me and people I care about too Itapos;s love. Theyapos;re a wild bunch thatapos;s for sure I never got to say what I was thankful for on Thanksgiving but here it goes now, Iapos;m thankful for my family, and friends, theyapos;re the true bunch that I know I can be myself around and I know I can be safe with. Theyapos;re all one of a kind and unique to me. Iapos;m also thankful for my schooling at the moment, I know sounds lame, but not very many people get it and itapos;s something we should not take for granted. Iapos;m also thankful for my free speech and different ways of expressing myself. Right now iapos;m loving life and iapos;m thankful for all of it. My goal for the weeekend, I did accomplish it, but it backfired. Heapos;s not interested I can tell already. I tried Itapos;s life we move on. Iapos;m trying to move on anyways. Iapos;m picking up the pieces and trying to fit them back into the right places they belong. The only problem is itapos;s hard and some pieces are cut in half, and some pieces are missing. Itapos;s progress though. For a while life was jumbled, it still kind of is. Will it ever be easy? No, because if life was easy weapos;d never learn a thing. Iapos;m trying though so itapos;s all that matters. I tend to be over dramatic, I know I bring it on. Iapos;m trying to slow down. Iapos;m excited for halloween, hopefully things go okay. If they did it would be fucking prime, like gold Iapos;d like to make you jealous. I donapos;t hate you, I just envy you. I want you to envy me, feel what I feel for once. Youapos;re mouth will drop, I know it will. Iapos;ll laugh. Itapos;ll be good. Youapos;ll be pissed, and Iapos;ll be fucking gold. This time I win, and youapos;ve lost. The battle is never ending, but this time, Iapos;m coming out on top.

Today, of course, was another school day.

I was late to biology, and I have no idea why. We did a packet on vitamins and minerals and then we sat there for a couple of minutes.
For English, we just had a benchmark.
History just had a worksheet on the Mongols. Itapos;s getting pretty hard.
Lunch, I forgot what we did. I just remember Ryan and I talking about piercings.
French, we just did some book work.
Band, we played and got an extra ten minutes, so Allegra and Nichole and I were talking to each other about dogs and doses.
Health was hell. We had to walk around the track on the hottest day. I walked with Haley and Jenny the entire time, and we were mainly complaining about how hot it was. My pajama sweatshirt didnapos;t help anything.
For math, we had a test and I believe that I might have failed. I hate that none of this is useful in real life.

When I got home, my dad and I went for lunch at East Cafe. Then I slept until about 8.

Iapos;ve been thinking today about the value of hobbies. How now, everybody can do the same hobby and anybody who has always dreamed of being an expert in that field is no longer needed, ex. HTML and graphic design. I wonder if things are still with what they are. I have no idea what I want to do with my life now, Iapos;m so used to HTML but now everybody can do it. Itapos;s like thereapos;s no use anymore.

I had a memory today as I was staring at my unfinished paint job. When I was 7 and first got my room painted pink. I was at Markapos;s house with Michael and we were playing in the ball pit. When I came back, my mom had painted my entire room pink. I remember crying later on because I miss the old mural I used to have on my wall.

Iapos;m beginning to wonder why Iapos;ve been so paranoid lately, and why Iapos;ve even been doing this. I can only think of time and how much Iapos;ve lost. I much I canapos;t really remember from my past, but I can remember so many of my feelings and likes. Iapos;m not so sure if this is even worth it, recording all my thoughts and days down on journal while keeping profiles of myself simply because I donapos;t want to forget. But possibly somebody, I, or even somebody else, might use this information. Even though Iapos;d like to delete a lot of things from my past badly. I havenapos;t been as emotional as I used to be.

After more than its share of dents, dings, general neglect and problems that were in place well before I got it, I think the Corsica may need a replacement soon.

I want to at least wait until Iapos;m 25 so I can avoid the high cost of insurance, but once I get to that point, what to buy?

I have a soft spot for 70apos;s-80apos;s Japanese and European wagons, mostly because I rode in so many of them growing up.

Trouble is, if you find, say, a Datsun 210 wagon in running order these days, that isnapos;t rusted through, youapos;ll probably pay more for it than you would for a much newer used car. As for other wagons I remember from years ago (like the Renault 11 my parents rented when wewent to Segovia in 1986), to say theyapos;re scarce stateside is an understatement.

Volvos tend to have a pretty high resale value Stateside, and spare parts tend to sell at inflated prices, though Iapos;d certainly look at one if I found one for sale. Other common imports, like the BMW and Mercedes wagons from the 80apos;s and 90apos;s, honestly intimidate me with the likely cost of maintenance (think $200 for routine brake work).

There were also the big 80apos;s Americanland yachtwagons that a lot of my friendsapos; parents had, mostlyapos;83-91Ford Country Squires and apos;79-90 Caprice Classics, but at an average of about 17MPG I think this stretch ofmemory lane will have to wait.

I have found that apos;90-93 Cadillac Fleetwoods are surprisingly affordable, easy to maintain, plentiful, and not that much worse for fuel economy than the Corsica (about 22 city/ 26 highway compared to the Corsicaapos;s 24/31). That said, Iapos;m really not a Cadillac type.

As for 90apos;s-era Saturns, which seem to be plentiful, DONOTWANT I have NEVERknown anyone to have a 91-99 Saturn for more than a year or two before they virtually fell apart; they were designed with true built-in obsolesence.

Of course, as far as older cars go, if I could find a Ford Falcon or Rancheroin good condition for under $3,000 Iapos;d consider it (thatapos;s a 30mpg car, by the way).
