eyesight vitamins

After more than its share of dents, dings, general neglect and problems that were in place well before I got it, I think the Corsica may need a replacement soon.

I want to at least wait until Iapos;m 25 so I can avoid the high cost of insurance, but once I get to that point, what to buy?

I have a soft spot for 70apos;s-80apos;s Japanese and European wagons, mostly because I rode in so many of them growing up.

Trouble is, if you find, say, a Datsun 210 wagon in running order these days, that isnapos;t rusted through, youapos;ll probably pay more for it than you would for a much newer used car. As for other wagons I remember from years ago (like the Renault 11 my parents rented when wewent to Segovia in 1986), to say theyapos;re scarce stateside is an understatement.

Volvos tend to have a pretty high resale value Stateside, and spare parts tend to sell at inflated prices, though Iapos;d certainly look at one if I found one for sale. Other common imports, like the BMW and Mercedes wagons from the 80apos;s and 90apos;s, honestly intimidate me with the likely cost of maintenance (think $200 for routine brake work).

There were also the big 80apos;s Americanland yachtwagons that a lot of my friendsapos; parents had, mostlyapos;83-91Ford Country Squires and apos;79-90 Caprice Classics, but at an average of about 17MPG I think this stretch ofmemory lane will have to wait.

I have found that apos;90-93 Cadillac Fleetwoods are surprisingly affordable, easy to maintain, plentiful, and not that much worse for fuel economy than the Corsica (about 22 city/ 26 highway compared to the Corsicaapos;s 24/31). That said, Iapos;m really not a Cadillac type.

As for 90apos;s-era Saturns, which seem to be plentiful, DONOTWANT I have NEVERknown anyone to have a 91-99 Saturn for more than a year or two before they virtually fell apart; they were designed with true built-in obsolesence.

Of course, as far as older cars go, if I could find a Ford Falcon or Rancheroin good condition for under $3,000 Iapos;d consider it (thatapos;s a 30mpg car, by the way).
